Moreno anuncia la creación de un centro de emprendimiento en Baeza con una inversión de casi medio millón de euros.

The President of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno, has announced the creation of an entrepreneurship and digital training center in the building donated on Calle Alcalá in the municipality of Baeza, which has received an investment of almost half a million euros through the Andalusian Digital Agency. «We are talking about a total investment of over a million euros for the next four years.»

Moreno, who visited the City Hall of Baeza, where he met with the mayor, Pedro Cabrera, stated that this opens up a new opportunity for this Cordoban municipality to continue growing and unleashing its potential.

Additionally, he noted that this month forty-five unemployed young people under thirty have completed their training, thanks to the Employment and Training program of the Junta, where they specialized for a year and were hired, receiving the minimum wage. «This program was managed by the City Council with a grant from the Junta of over a million euros.»

He also mentioned other improvements in Baeza, such as the grant of 75,000 euros to restore a section of the wall, repair the Museum of Atarazanas, and commission a monument in honor of Pablo de Olavide for the 300th anniversary of his birth.

Likewise, he referred to the Touristic Sustainability Plans in Destination that have allocated more than 31 million in the province, about 2.3 million directly to Baeza, through which several projects are being developed, such as the improvement of the San Francisco Auditorium and greater tourism professionalization.

The Andalusian President indicated that, as a Andalusian Tourist Municipality, Baeza has received a grant of just over 100,000 euros for its Market of Supplies to become a Gastronomic Market as well.

He also recalled that Baeza is synonymous with the most recognized EVOO, a cornerstone of Andalusian exports, which is why the Andalusian Government has resolved ten modernization projects for six of its thirteen oil mills since 2019, while creating the distinct brand ‘Gusto del Sur’ to distinguish the quality of its products.

Moreno emphasized the commitment of this Government to the municipality of Jaén, as evidenced by the 50 million invested since 2019 in its improvement.

At this point, he highlighted that this year there has been the free transfer for fifty years of up to seven properties owned by the Junta to this City Council, and emphasized the gastronomic excellence of Baeza, where training is essential. He mentioned the Hacienda La Laguna Hospitality Training School, attached to the Andalusian Employment Service.

«This course, which has just ended, has trained seventy-five students. Since its establishment in 1998, over 3,500 students have passed through its facilities, including two Michelin-starred chefs, such as Pedro Sánchez with ‘Bagá’ in Jaén, and David Olivas with ‘Back’ in Marbella.»

In this regard, he highlighted that this prestigious gastronomic center is generating employment in a sector in demand and contributing to enhancing the reputation of the Baeza and Andalusia brands worldwide.

To conclude, he emphasized that the support for this municipality is also reflected in the 1.2 million invested in the comprehensive renovation of the Health Center, in the commissioning of the West Link of the Olive Motorway worth 500,000 euros, and in access from the A-316, which will become a reality, with the initiation order already in progress to tender the drafting of the project, works that will amount to seven million.
