La cooperativa Givit cierra 2024 con más de nueve millones de facturación, un 60% más

The Andalusian company Givit, which claims to be «the largest ‘delivery’ cooperative in Europe,» closed the 2024 fiscal year with a «record» turnover of over nine million euros, representing a 60% growth compared to the previous year.

The cooperative, supported by its alliance with Gestcoop, has exceeded 200,000 monthly deliveries, doubled its customer base, and expanded its workforce to reach 837 working member-owners, as reported by the company itself in a statement where it asserts that it has thus consolidated its «model of fair, sustainable, and professionalized delivery as an ethical alternative to large platforms.»

Furthermore, the company maintains that this balance «consolidates Givit as a pioneering social economy project in the logistics sector, which advocates for decent employment and democratic participation of the working people.»

In this regard, they emphasize that Givit offers a «solid cooperative structure, where all member-owners are registered in the general regime of Social Security, with career plans, continuous training, and real possibilities for internal promotion.»

«I am proud to say that we are leading the transformation of the logistics sector, demonstrating that a cooperative model, supported by its own digital platform and the active participation of people, can be not only competitive but also profitable in the demanding field of last-mile delivery,» commented Givit’s CFO, Maica Motos.

EXPANSION AND STRATEGIC ALLIANCES

During the past year 2024, Givit expanded its operations to new territories, with notable openings in Madrid, Valencia, and Extremadura, reaching a presence in 15 provinces and over 100 locations.

«Unlike other platforms that depend on constant support from investment funds, Givit has generated sustained profits since its first year of activity, consolidating a fairer, more efficient, and solid logistics model,» also highlighted Maica Motos.

Additionally, the cooperative has onboarded as clients «major brands» in the restaurant and logistics sector such as Burger King, Popeyes, and Glovo, «validating its ability to compete with the main market players,» as they argue.

«Customer loyalty» is «another major achievement of the year, as 100% of companies have renewed their service contracts, reflecting the quality and professionalism of their operations,» also emphasized in the balance statement of the past fiscal year.

One of the «most significant milestones» of 2024 was the development and implementation of ‘Nexus,’ a proprietary digital tool designed to «intelligently manage delivery work in a cooperative environment.»

The development of Nexus was funded by the General Directorate of Self-Employment, Social Economy, and Corporate Social Responsibility, within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan to Boost the Social Economy for the Generation of an Economic, Inclusive, and Sustainable Fabric.

This funding was carried out through competitive concurrence grants in the 2025 call of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union with the ‘Next Generation EU’ funds.

This platform centralizes key processes such as order allocation, delivery traceability, productivity analysis, or real-time route planning, and has been developed with the support of the Social Economy Pert.

Digital transformation has been «key to increasing efficiency and reducing environmental footprint,» as added by Givit, whose fleet is 90% «100% electric,» and for which ‘charging hubs’ have been installed at strategic points, as part of a sustainability plan that has also eliminated the use of paper in all internal management, carried out thanks to the strategic alliance with Nuuk Mobility Solutions.

Furthermore, the cooperative has highlighted that, internationally, the ‘Givit model’ was one of the 37 projects selected by the Asett Social Innovation Hub, and has been presented at forums such as the ‘Coops Week’ at the University of Granada or the UNESCO Chair’s digital governance conferences.

GOALS FOR 2025

For the year 2025, Givit has set the goal of «exceeding 15 million euros in turnover and reaching between 1,200 and 1,300 active member-owners.»

The cooperative will also «continue to focus on geographic expansion, team professionalization, and technological improvement,» as well as «promote a collaborative strategy among last-mile delivery actors, based on shared efficiency, digital traceability, and sustainability.»

Finally, Givit asserts that, through its work, it «demonstrates that it is possible to transform the logistics sector from a cooperative, ethical, and competitive approach,» and its proposal «stands as a future model for a fairer, safer, and more respectful delivery for people and the planet.»
