El crecimiento del número de empresas andaluzas en la Seguridad Social
Andalucía has once again stood out in the past month of May for its ability to drive business activity, surpassing the slowdown still being experienced by the data for the whole of Spain. Thus, the number of Andalusian companies registered with Social Security has increased by 1.55% compared to the same month of the previous year, compared to the stagnation once again shown by the whole of Spain where this figure reached 0.53%. The largest increase also occurs among companies with 250 or more employees, with a 6.9% increase compared to the same month of the previous year.
This growth has made it possible for the number of Andalusian workers registered with Social Security to increase by 4.2% during the month of May, a percentage that also exceeds the year-on-year increase recorded for the whole of Spain, which was 3.7%, according to the Statistics of Companies Registered with Social Security published by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA) based on data from the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
The Minister of Economy, Finance, and European Funds, Carolina España, highlighted «that these data confirm the strengthening of the business fabric of the community, and above all show the capacity of Andalusia to lead business growth in Spain, which has positioned it well above the country as a whole.»
For Carolina España, this business boost is due to «the joint effort of the Andalusian productive fabric, entrepreneurs, and public policies of the Government of Andalusia focused on stability, support for investment, and administrative simplification.» «While signs of stagnation are perceived in the whole of Spain, Andalusia continues to advance steadily in economic activity, employment, and dynamism in the productive fabric,» she emphasized.
