A total of 16,805 requests have been formalized within the first 24 hours of the deadline to pursue a degree in the upcoming academic year 2025/2026 at public universities in Andalusia, according to data compiled by the Ministry of University, Research, and Innovation. The registration period opened on June 12, the same day when the grades obtained by students taking the University Entrance Exam (PAU) in Andalusia were revealed. Andalusian youth will have until June 23 to submit their requests.
As in previous years, university access pre-registration is done exclusively online at the address lajunta.es/portaldua, which is the direct link to the Andalusian Unique District (DUA) website. On this platform, those who have taken the exams at an Andalusian university do not need to submit any documentation to their academic institutions. In general, those who have passed this test can request a place in a university degree program in the Andalusian public system. This request will be unique and will list in order of preference all the titles that the interested party wishes to pursue. This order will be binding throughout the admission process, so it is essential that the individual includes a sufficient number of requests and in the desired order to avoid problems in admission due to incomplete or insufficient filling.
To participate in the admission process, the Andalusian University Unique District Commission advises all students that it is necessary to submit the pre-registration even if they are suspended, in anticipation of passing the exam after the necessary reviews. As it is a procedure known as competitive concurrence, where requests cannot be included outside the established deadline, the computer program allows to enter a grade lower than five points, which will be automatically updated when the university grants a new grade, and if it is equal to or higher than five points, that request will be considered in the process with all rights.
The first allocation of places will be published on July 3. On this date, the enrollment, confirmation, or reservation period will begin, lasting for seven days until July 9. The second allocation will take place on July 17 and will run until October 10. In each allocation, every applicant must check their request and interact with the system according to their specific situation, as failing to do so will result in exclusion from the admission process.
To facilitate the choice of degrees, the cutoff grades from previous years can be consulted, available on the Andalusian Unique District website, for purely informative or indicative purposes. The universities do not set the cutoff grades; they correspond to the grade of the last student enrolled in each degree, university, and access route and may vary from one academic year to another.
Interested parties are bound by the order of preference established in the request, so when the allocation is made, they will be assigned the place corresponding to the degree and center of their highest preference where they are admitted based on their admission grade.
91.98% of students who took the exam have passed
Of the students from Andalusia who took the University Entrance Exam’s Access Phase, 91.98% have passed, which amounts to 38,013 out of a total of 41,327 students examined in this mandatory part. Looking at gender, out of the 23,402 women who took this phase, a total of 21,441 passed, representing 91.62%, while in the case of men, 16,572 out of 17,925 who took the exam achieved a satisfactory result, equivalent to 92.45%.
The highest grade was a 10 obtained by a student in the province of Malaga. This is the maximum score that students can achieve in the Access Phase, although it can be supplemented with four additional points obtained in the Admission Phase, based on the grade obtained in these exams and the weighting according to the degree requested. The next best grades were a 9.99 achieved by a student from Malaga, a 9.985 obtained by a student from Granada, a 9.975 reached by three students (one from Malaga, one from Huelva, and one from Seville), a 9.966 recorded by a student from Jaen, a 9.964 noted by a student from Cordoba, a 9.954 by a person from Seville, and a 9.95 achieved by nine students (one from Almeria, two from Cadiz, two from Cordoba, two from Seville, and two from Malaga).
Employment insertion survey to guide selection
The Ministry of University, Research, and Innovation has made available to students starting the next academic year the most significant data from a report prepared by the Andalusian Statistics and Cartography Institute (IECA) on the subjects with the highest job opportunities and the level of employment integration of graduates from academic institutions. This information is available through the Andalusian Unique District website.
This measure aims to provide these young people with relevant information to help them decide which career to enroll in.
