Profesionales sanitarios forman a la comunidad educativa en Granada

Health professionals have trained the educational community of 26 centers in the Health Month 2025, as part of activities for students, parents, and workers in six municipalities organized by the Clinical Management Unit of Santa Fe, in the metropolitan area of Granada.

The Health and Consumer Delegate of the Junta in Granada, Indalecio Sánchez-Montesinos, attended the presentation of the program organized by the Clinical Management Unit, which takes place in the municipalities of Chauchina, Chimeneas, Cijuela, Fuente Vaqueros, Láchar-Peñuelas, and Santa Fe.

This initiative is aimed at students, mothers, fathers, and workers from 26 educational centers in these municipalities and is taught by primary care nurses and other health and social care professionals.

The activity, under the name ‘Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures’, aims to «educate and disseminate information on healthy living habits among the educational community,» as detailed by the Junta in a press release.

For primary school students, workshops have been scheduled on basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), back school, nutrition, or responsible consumption of sugars and energy drinks.

For secondary, high school, and vocational training students, there are workshops on back school, prevention of new forms of smoking consumption, healthy eating, or new technologies for relationship and information and prevention of sexually transmitted infections.

Likewise, workshops have been scheduled for adult education students such as ‘Move for Health Andalusia’, ‘Changes in the adult woman’, and ‘Emotional management, assets after retirement’.

The 4th Health and Science Fair was also held in the Plaza de España in Santa Fe, and on April 2 and 3, it will be held in the sports center of this metropolitan municipality.

The program also includes collective back workshops in sports centers, the School for Mothers and Fathers ‘Care of the newborn, secure attachment’ at the Santa Fe Health Center and the Chauchina Clinic; as well as workshops on first aid and home first aid kit, home safety and accident prevention, nutrition and diabetes, and pelvic floor workshop.

The Health Delegate thanked the director of the Clinical Management Unit of Santa Fe, Magdalena Berbel, and the professionals participating in the Health Month 2025 for organizing this training activity «that provides valuable information to the population, especially to the younger ones, to take care of their health and that of others.»
