Around fifty people have demanded justice at the doors of the Almuñécar Court, on the coast of Granada, where the accused of the fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old man last Friday afternoon after exchanging threats through social media has been brought before the court on Monday morning.
A security device with members of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Almuñécar has been deployed at the location where the participants, friends, and acquaintances of the deceased, have demanded justice with shouts and posters made after the crime, with a deceased person whose social burial has been taken care of by the Almuñécar City Council, according to sources familiar with the case consulted by Europa Press.
It appears that the victim worked at the entrances of a nightclub in Almuñécar and had been receiving threats from the alleged perpetrator of the stabbings for some time, which occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Puerta de Vélez street, in front of a cafeteria and in front of witnesses.
On Friday, the Emergency Service 112 Andalucía reported that they alerted the Emergency Health Center (CES) 061, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police after receiving calls from witnesses, who then arrived at the scene.
In a message shared this past Sunday through his social networks, consulted by Europa Press, the Mayor of Almuñécar, Juanjo Ruiz Joya, called for calm after the incident. «The loss of a young man of only 33 years old, a beloved person, has broken the hearts of a family, a group of friends, and an entire city,» he stated.
«Nothing justifies someone losing their life in such a cruel way. The pain we feel is deep, real, and shared by all,» said the Mayor, conveying his «most sincere condolences and all the love to his family and those who loved him.»
In this context, he urged to act «responsibly» and trust in justice, which he said works «to investigate, to judge rigorously, and to ensure that no one is left without an answer or protection.» Therefore, «violence will never be the way.»
