The Andalusian president, Juanma Moreno, presented in Seville the Red Wifi Andalucía Vuela, an open network that provides free wifi coverage in 10,500 Junta de Andalucía sites spread throughout the Andalusian territory, with an investment of 64 million euros, making it the largest network in Europe.
He explained that Andalusia has «an ambitious digital project» with the goal of achieving a «100% digitized community by 2030», making it increasingly attractive for technology-based companies, which involves improving connectivity throughout the territory. «In this commitment, the Andalusian Digital Agency will invest over 1,000 million euros by 2027,» he announced.
In this regard, Moreno stated that The Andalucía Vuela Network aims to eliminate the digital divide and also combat depopulation in inland municipalities, establishing a digitization model that leaves no one behind.
The president of the Junta emphasized that this government has been developing this inclusive digitization process for years with Puntos Vuela, pioneers in bringing connectivity, digitization, and technology to municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants and vulnerable neighborhoods, stating that the connectivity that this Network will bring means taking the definitive leap into the digital society.
Moreno greets some users at the Centro de Participación Activa (CPA) Macarena, in Seville.
He highlighted that for this deployment, multinational companies such as Telefónica, Vodafone, and Huawei have been involved, as well as Andalusian companies like Innovasur from Jaén and Galgus from Seville.
«It is important that we grasp the value and significance of this project, because this network will also facilitate entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals to stay connected, grow, and develop wherever they are, helping them to be more competitive,» he added.

Moreno stressed that Andalusia is not only a reference in the primary and tourism sectors, but also in digitization, following European guidelines. An Andalusia that, as he mentioned, «has better digital infrastructures today and has access to public services simply by turning on a mobile phone.»
«We are not going to stop there. That is why the Government Council has agreed to develop a plan to boost digital infrastructures with the idea of providing Andalusia with a top-level ecosystem that serves as an economic lever, improving the competitiveness of our companies, attracting private investments, and enhancing talent and professional skills,» he concluded.
