The councilor of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanz, announced, during the informative session following the weekly meeting of the Government Council, the distinguished personalities with the Andalusian Talent Awards, including the singer Lola Índigo and the television presenter Roberto Leal.
Also recognized with these awards, which will be presented on Monday, March 31 at the Teatro Canal in Madrid, are Raúl Berdonés, CEO of the Secuoya Group; María del Mar Pageo, president of Spanish Red Cross; Laura Baena, founder and director of the Malasmadres Club for family and work reconciliation, and Francisco Javier Labandón, ‘El Arrebato’, flamenco-pop singer.
Miriam Doblas, better known for her musical project Lola Índigo, was born in Madrid in 1992 but grew up in Huétor Tajar, Granada, where her family hails from. She rose to fame after competing in OT 2017, achieving double platinum certification for her first post-contest single. In 2019, she released Akelarre, her first studio album, closing out the year with the MTV Europe Music Award for Artist of the Year in Spain. In 2021, she released La Niña, her second studio album, followed by Dragón (2023) and Nave Dragón (2025).
Roberto Leal, born in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Seville, is a Spanish journalist, reporter, television presenter, and producer. Graduating in journalism from the University of Seville, he gained recognition on Telecinco News (2001-2004) as a reporter and coordinator for the Andalusia branches. After his time on ‘España Directo’, as a reporter and presenter, in 2017 he began working as the presenter of the musical phenomenon ‘Operación Triunfo’. Currently, he works on Antena 3 presenting «Pasapalabra» and ‘El Desafío’, earning multiple accolades, such as the Ondas Award for Best Presenter (2021).
On another note, the Granada native Raúl Berdonés is the CEO of Secuoya Grupo de Comunicación. As the CEO of VAV company (2000-204), he became a partner and advisor for companies like Antena 3, Vnews, and VSAT, until their sale to Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales. As an independent producer in early 2008, he initiated the launch of Grupo Secuoya as a founding partner, currently serving as the CEO and reference shareholder. He has extensive experience in creating, launching, and managing companies in various high-responsibility roles.
Graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Granada, specializing in Geriatrics and Gerontology, María del Mar Pageo from Almería, a doctor at the Andalusian Health Service, began her involvement with Spanish Red Cross in the late 70s, in rescue operations, actively participating since 1986 in various emergency projects, human trafficking prevention, training in healthcare and geriatrics, and palliative care. In governance, she has held various positions within the organization: provincial president in Almería (2015-2018), regional president in Andalusia (2018-2023), president of the National Gender and Equality Commission (2018-2023), and national vice president (2019-2023). Since 2023, she has been the national president of Spanish Red Cross, leading the organization with a strong commitment to humanitarian action, social inclusion, and equality.
Laura Baena, graduating in Advertising and Public Relations from the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Málaga, left her position as a creative supervisor at a Madrid advertising agency in 2014 to establish the Malasmadres Club, of which she is also the creative director, to advocate for a space for women and mothers and fight for work-life balance. Her trajectory in the fight for gender equality, work-life balance, and demystifying motherhood has made her a renowned Spanish influencer. The Malasmadres Club has received numerous awards, such as the 20 Minutos Award for Best Multimedia Blog and Social Networks, the RTVE Bitácoras Award for Best Humor and Entertainment Blog, the José Ramón Losada Award for Conciliation, for the video «Missing Parents», and the EFR Certificate as an example of a family-friendly company, among others.
Finally, Seville-born Francisco Javier Labandón Pérez ‘El Arrebato’ began his prolific artistic career with the group ‘Piel Morena’, alongside two close friends from his native Seville. He has a total of 13 studio albums, from ‘Poquito a poco’ (2001) to ‘Una tarde cualquiera’ (2023), establishing himself as one of the most representative figures of flamenco-pop in Spain over the past two decades.
