Recepción de Juanma Moreno al presidente de Ecuador, Daniel Noboa en el Palacio de San Telmo

The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, received the President of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, at the San Telmo Palace. Also present were the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, Gabriela Sommerfeld; the Minister of Economy and Finance, Sariha Moya; the Counselor of the Presidency, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanz; the Minister of Economy, Treasury, and European Funds, Carolina España; and the Minister of Tourism and External Andalusia, Arturo Bernal, among others.
Moreno stated that it was an honor to receive Daniel Noboa on behalf of all Andalusians, expressing his interest in making the relationship between Andalusia and Ecuador even more fruitful in areas such as the economy, culture, and society.
At this point, he noted that Spain and Ecuador are brother countries that have shared an important part of history, emphasizing that this visit to Seville, which he referred to as one of the most Latin American corners in the world, is a great opportunity. «I hope your stay in Seville is fruitful and that the relationships with Andalusia grow significantly. I appreciate that you have made time in your busy schedule and a special section to be received and attend to us in Andalusia, demonstrating your affection and interest not only for it but also for Spain,» he added.
Andalusia and Ecuador maintain historical ties, common interests, and opportunities. It is worth noting the presence of Ecuadorians in Spain, reaching 450,000, of which nearly 7,000 reside in Andalusia. All this makes it essential to intensify relationships at all levels in institutional, cultural, university, economic, and business spheres, as both Andalusia and Ecuador have much room to continue growing in their collaboration.
Moreno and Noboa descend one of the main staircases of the San Telmo Palace.
It is important to remember that since 2022, there has been an Agreement between the Ibero-American Chambers of Commerce, the one in Seville, and the Consulate of Ecuador in Andalusia with the aim of promoting commercial relations and business development between Andalusian and Ecuadorian entrepreneurs.
Since 2008, when the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation started operating, 59 projects have been promoted, and over 14 million euros have been mobilized.
