La Junta convoca ayudas para formación en asistencia a víctimas, Justicia Juvenil y mediación

The Ministry of Justice, Local Administration, and Public Function has announced two lines of grants aimed at training legal operators in victim assistance, Juvenile Justice, and alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, which have been mandatory since April 3 before filing a lawsuit in certain cases such as civil and commercial matters. The total budget is €36,000, and the deadline to apply for these funds is open until June 30.

The call, published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA), specifies that associations, foundations, and public or private non-profit entities legally established can request them. The grants will be distributed on a non-competitive basis.

Specifically, the Ministry allocates €18,000 for the training of various operators involved in victim assistance, through services such as SAVA, and in Juvenile Justice, in centers and services where minor offenders comply with measures and work on their re-education.

Last year, these grants were received by the Diagrama Foundation, the Atenin entity, and the Avide association.

Another €18,000 is earmarked for the training of Legal and Procurator professionals in the Free Justice system, as well as mediators and mediation entities or officials of associations, foundations, and professional associations.

In 2024, these grants were received by the Interdisciplinary Mediation Association and the Spanish Federation of Restorative Justice, within the framework of promoting mediation that the Ministry started ahead of the entry into force of the Public Justice Service Efficiency Law, which includes the obligation to attempt alternative conflict resolution methods as a prerequisite for filing a civil or commercial lawsuit.

Applications must be submitted electronically to the single electronic registry of the Junta de Andalucía Administration, and the Ministry will have a maximum of three months to resolve the request from its submission. Administrative silence will imply a positive response to the application.

Training activities may have taken place prior to the application, always within the current year, or must be completed before December 31, 2025.
